Valemon is a tale of bears and spells, female desire and agency, a heroine who rescues her love and decides her own story. Reclaim your intuition and embody your truest self as you rediscover what has been lost, betrayed, forgotten or stolen from the depths of your soul.

December 10
Awakening Beauty

A journey with the sacred dark feminine, the fairy tale Briar Rose is about dreaming yourself awake and embracing the wild fullness of your creative potential. Perhaps a ‘curse’ can bring the greatest gift when you trust the wisdom of the Thirteenth Fairy and your intuition. What might be offered in the world when Beauty emerges from her hidden tower?

What is a Story Ceremony?

What is a story ceremony

In Celtic times, a herbal medicine was always given with a charm or a prayer to access its Otherworld spirit and energy. Without the prayer, the medicine was of minimal effect.  Stories are also like that, especially the old tales that carry much hidden wisdom. They too, live between this world and the mythic. To access their riches, you must step between the veils, listening deeply with bones and heart, with the ear of soul tuned to symbol and archetype.  A story ceremony is an invocation and invitation, for the magic in the tale to awaken you to wider and wilder possibilities, for self and the collective.

These story ceremonies are interactive and experiential, playful and profound. They invoke the power of each tale through connecting with mythic realities, with simple ritual, earth and body centered processes, creative opportunities for writing or drawing and guided journeys. Trace the threads these stories weave through you, connecting heart and nature in kinship, and embodying a wilder awareness, touched by mystery.

Though fairy tales end after ten pages,
our lives do not.
We are multi-volume sets. In our lives,
even though one episode amounts to a crash and burn,
there is always another episode awaiting us and then another.
